The Ceduna youth centre desperately needs shoes for about 80 school kids they support. These families struggle daily and the price of shoes for those living remotely is often more than they can afford. Unfortunately many families are on the Indue card system, which means they canโ€™t buy second hand. Weโ€™d like to help them out by sending up some new shoes for the kids to wear to school. Can you help us? We need kids sizes 3 right up to size 14 for the big kids. We need school shoes, sandals, sneakers, anything! We would love to give the […]

Bob is a 36 year old man who is looking for work in the Melbourne Metro area. Bob has his forklift drivers licence and crane license. Although Bob is currently experiencing homelessness he has a van that he sleeps in and can drive. Bob was working part time until covid hit and is really keen to get back to work. Weโ€™ve known Bob for around 4 years now and he really is a genuine hard working friendly guy. If youโ€™re able to offer Bob a genuine job weโ€™d love to hear from you! Please email us at Info@nhcollective.org.au

โ€œWhat do you do when you want something to look like a horse?โ€ โ€œUsually we just tape a bunch of cats togetherโ€ The Simpsons: Radioactive ManSeason 7. Episode 2 Homelessness is not a choice. It is a systemic failure of policies and laws, and of procedures and systems. It is caused by the failure of successive governments to fully, adequately and comprehensively address the issue of homelessness from the cause to the cure. Itโ€™s not as though they havenโ€™t had time. Governments are either cutting funding or ploughing it into an ineffective system that burns through funds without providing any […]

Shout out to the legends Pete, Hilton & Dale from F45 Training Woodville for digging deep for Aboriginal women and children this Christmas. Christmas time is incredibly difficult for women experiencing domestic violence in shelters and temporary accommodation. Providing a special day for their kids is often not possible. With KWY Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Family Services we know these generous folks will make a difference this year. Thank you ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿฝ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿฝ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿฝ

It was hard to keep a tally but we have a good guesstimate that we have handed out well over 2000 toys for kids in need this Christmas ๐ŸŽ„ Given we were aiming for the sky with our request for 250 gifts this is absolutely phenomenal. We just canโ€™t thank you all enough. So many families are doing it tough this Christmas with many losing jobs and income security because of Covid. Weโ€™re thrilled to be able to help them out and bring some Christmas joy for them this year. We were able to fill the Christmas wish list for […]
