We’re opening a combined Op Shop, meditation den, community space with life connection workshop programs that will benefit everyone in the community but most of all our most vulnerable. Ridiculously amazing generosity shown by Metcash!!!! They donated about $2500 worth of product to our donation drive – 100’s of shampoos, conditioners, sanitary items, deodorants and lots of other stuff ?? They then asked some of their valued suppliers to contribute and Johnson & Johnson, Colgate Australia and Unilever all chipped in with hundreds more product donations!!!… See More — feeling energized with Amy Rust at Metcash Kidman Park.

Looks so much like Melbourne, doesn’t it? People sleeping on the streets with nowhere to call home. This is New York City on the corner of 34th street and 5th Avenue. This is real and it’s happening everywhere. This is someone’s ‘home’. We want to lead by example and eradicate this ridiculously ‘acceptable’ human situation. People should not live like this but they do. We’ve seen with our own eyes, they do. Please, now is the time to knock on the doors of your elected members of parliament. Ask them what they’re doing about homelessness. Don’t ask what they’re going […]

It was an absolute pleasure to work alongside our Sanitary Sisters from the USA last night and joint in on one of their incredible Period Parties.   What a group! ‘The Homeless Period Project is an incredible movement sweeping right across the United States, helping people experiencing Period Poverty everywhere.   Together we made almost 900 Period Packs in just two hours, which were shipped out to schools and shelters immediately. We met Sharron, the founder who’s heart is as big as her country and we’re so fortunate to spend some time together learning from each other and sharing our […]

Yesterday the wonderful Nadine from Launch Housing got in contact with us to advise there was a young 10 year old boy in their care that could not participate in Bike Education at his school. Today I delivered her a new Bike and Helmet. Our goal at The School Project is to help by assisting in any way possible to ensure that the children can continue their education after being displaced. Experiencing Homelessness sadly comes in so many ways and the children are just innocent victims. When Nadine contacted us we made the decision to get this young boy a […]

We are absolutely thrilled to have our hard work recognised yet again. Recognition by such an esteemed Group as the Westpac Foundation makes us all the more proud! This $10,000 grant will go directly to assisting more people experiencing family violence to forge a solid and achievable pathway into employment and sustained financial stability. Our work will never be done but while we have the support of groups such as the #Westpacfoundation we will always be able to continue supporting those in need.

As a parent of a child with autism this was such a bittersweet moment. Late yesterday afternoon we received a request from a Launch Housing crisis worker asking if we could help get a bike for a little girl who has autism. She had to leave her bike behind when the family needed to leave suddenly and move into crisis accommodation. Leaving home in a hurry can be very traumatic for children. Leaving home in a hurry when you have autism and can’t take your favourite things with you can be absolutely devastating and very confusing. I know how heartbroken […]

We need to talk about sex. Safe sex. Women experiencing homelessness do often have sex, just like the rest of the population. However the sad fact is, that sex is often to survive, make money, or, like the case of a lot of younger girls, to get a TInder date so they have somewhere to sleep that night and don’t have to worry about sleeping outside in the cold. It’s absolutely horiffic but it happens every day. And it can often be tricky to get access to condoms. We’ve recently had an agency who supports women experiencing homelessness contact us […]
