Thank you so much to every single person who helped us get these urgent supplies of nappies, formula and sanitary items to the residents of the Melbourne towers during their total lockdown. A huge thank you to John and Gabriel from Costco for their special care and attention in helping us get the sheer volume of products we needed. A big hug and thank you to every single person who helped make this happen. Every one of you who donated, commented, shared or sent your love and support, we are so incredibly grateful to have you on our side. Moving […]
The Period Project
Can we please give a standing ovation and round of applause to the Asylum Seeker Resource Centre (ASRC) for their unconditional love and unwavering support for the residents locked down in the Melbourne towers. This incredible group of volunteers have cooked around 2000 meals for the residents. Not only that, they have taken the time to cook traditional flavoured meals inspired from the many countries of those who reside in the towers. It just doesnโt get any more heartfelt and compassionate as this. I remember not long after I started this charity, it was only about 8 months when old […]
Today thanks to your generosity we took our second load of nappies, formula and sanitary items to the residents of the 3031-3051 towers and have another load ready to head out in the morning. Charities are considered an essential service so we will still be able to reach the residents of the towers even though the city has gone into lockdown again as of tomorrow. Unfortunately due to rules around contact points we cannot accept donations of products. We apologise for this however the more contact we have with people who are donating, the more chances we have of coming […]
As a charity today would have to be one of the hardest days we have ever witnessed. We loaded up the Outlander with nappies, formula, pads, tampons and other essentials and took them to the Melbourne towers for our first load to assist those in full lockdown. As we took the items in we saw many people in incredibly distressed states. One woman sat on the steps of her building crying hard and pleading to be let out. With tears running down her face she begged the 12 or so officers in front for her freedom. The police officers were […]

Thankfully most of the tower residents will be able to leave their homes as of July 10. As we move forward we will now be assisting single parent families who are unable to access sanitary items, formula and nappies during the six week stage 3 lockdown. We will be working with local community groups to drop these items directly to the families who are unable to safely access them themselves. Thank you so very much to everyone who has helped us achieve this incredible work. ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ As many of you know there are over 3000 people locked in 9 towers […]
Once again what an incredible day! We donโt have a final tally but we managed to gather four large boxes of items for the Yuendumu senior fellas health and hygiene programe and raised over $2000 to purchase more of what they need. These items will be shipped up to the Northern Territory by our good friends at StarTrack. A huge thank you to our volunteers MelAnnetteSineaidJoCaitlinPierretteAngelaNevenaKylie FarrugiaBonitaKaiMimma For helping out today and making it such an incredible success. We canโt do this without your support ๐
Christine: (Mentions domestic abuse, police, family violence, murder, escape, police.) We havenโt spoken of Christine for a while but we have an update for those of you who have been following her story. Firstly, she is safe. After being removed from her home with the assistance of detectives from the family violence unit Christine was given a medical check up and taken to a safe secure location. She was relieved to have been โsavedโ, for want of a better term. Christine told me she honestly couldnโt see any way out and believed her only escape would be through death, when […]
We need help. As many of you know weโve been assisting Lauren, a Mum who has had to leave suddenly because her ex husband who has threatened numerous times to murder her was found inside her house and the next day found in her street. Lauren has been moved to a safe secure unit but the promised security cameras never happened. She canโt sleep at night and we want to help her. We know security cameras wonโt be a complete barrier to protect her but they may buy her time and be a deterrent for her ex husband should he […]
